Shirley Merritt Paine, 93, of Huntington, WV, went home to be with her Lord and Savior, peacefully at home surrounded by her family, Thursday, April 12, 2018. Shirley was born January 21, 1925 in Lundale, (Logan, Co), WV a daughter of the late Fletcher and Mamie Eplin Merritt. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Sidney Paine. She was a member of the Baptist Temple. Survivors include her children, Clyde (Lake) Tackett and Roma Marshall, all of Huntington and JoAnn Munsey of Vinton, VA, seven grandchildren, Kelli Adkins, Tyler Tackett, Janet Shaw, David Estep, Ryan Johnson, Steve Munsey and Brian Scott Munsey; and 11 great grandchildren. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to Hospice of Huntington in appreciation of their support and care. Graveside service will be conducted 1:00 pm Monday, April 16, 2018, at Spring Hill Cemetery, Huntington, with Dave McComas officiating. Chapman's Mortuary Huntington is assisting the family.
