Betty Louise Shockley, 87, of Huntington, widow of William Russell Shockley, died Wednesday, April 18, 2018 at her residence. She was born November 20, 1930 in Hanging Rock, OH, a daughter of the late Abner H. and Corba Morgan Lester. Betty was also preceded in death by nine siblings in addition to her husband and parents. She was a homemaker, loving mother and grandmother who dedicated her life to her family. Survivors include two daughters, Linda Arthur and her husband, Terry Arthur of Alderson, WV, and Carolyn Drummond of Huntington; a son and daughter-in-law, Fred and Rebecca Shockley of Ona; a brother and sister-in-law, Fred and Linda Lester of Crown City, OH; seven grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren and many great great grandchildren. Funeral services will be conducted 12:00 PM Friday, April 20, 2018 at Chapman's Mortuary with Pastor Bill Adkins officiating. Burial will be in Woodmere Memorial Park, Huntington. Friends may visit family one hour prior to the funeral at Chapman's Mortuary.
