Patricia Joan Burge
(October 4, 1935 - January 6, 2014)


Patricia Joan Burge 78, of Huntington, widow of Hiram David Burge, passed away Monday, January 6, 2014 at her residence. Funeral services will be conducted 12:00 noon Monday, January 13, 2013 at Chapman’s Mortuary, Huntington, with Pastor Steve Williams officiating. Burial will follow in White Chapel Memorial Gardens, Barboursville. She was born October 4, 1935, in Cabell County, WV, a daughter of the late Marion Thomas and Gladys McCallister Shoemaker. Two sisters, Betty Sue Shoemaker and Sandra K. Davis, and one brother Thomas Allen Shoemaker also preceded her in death. She was a homemaker and attended Central Freewill Baptist Church. Survivors include: three sons and a daughter-in-law, Troy and Jennifer Holcomb of Cleveland Georgia, Ronnie Holcomb of Barboursville, and Fred Burge of Huntington; three daughters and a son-in-law, Debbie and Ronald Hensley of Oak Harbor, Ohio, Sherry Endicott of Logan, WV and Lisa Burge of Charleston, WV; one sister, Phyllis Webb of Milton, WV; three brothers and a sister-in-law, Neal and Debbie Shoemaker of Proctorville, OH, Charles Shoemaker of Coal Grove, OH, and John Paul Shoemaker of Ironton, OH; several grandchildren and great grandchildren. Friends may call from 11:00 am to service time Monday at the funeral home.
