Russell Lee Faulkner, Jr.

Russell Lee Faulkner, Jr., 88, formerly of Huntington, W. Va. went to be with his Lord on Wednesday January 1, 2014 in Charlotte Hall, MD. He was the son of the late Russell Lee Faulkner Sr. and Leona Mills of Huntington, W. Va. He was preceded in death by wife Mary Akers Faulkner. Surviving are his two children Susan Faulkner St.Clair and husband, Roy; Betsy Faulkner Dyson and husband, Trevor; two grandchildren Jason Edward St.Clair and wife, Margaret; and Michael Faulkner Dyson. Two Great-Grandchildren Peyton and Connor St.Clair. Surviving wife Willetta E. Faulkner and two step-children Susan Storf Cossa and husband, Gian; and David Harold Storf. A 1943 graduate of Huntington East High School, Russell served his country in the U.S. Navy aboard the USS Leon in the Pacific Theater during WWII and awarded seven battle stars. Retiring after 30 yrs. with the ACF in Huntington, he joined CSX in Baltimore MD for 17 yrs.
An avid golfer, he also worked with Jay Perkins Golf Shop in Timonium, MD. Special thanks to the Charlotte Hall Veterans Center in Charlotte Hall, Md. for all their loving attention and care in Russell's final days. Graveside services will be held 11:00 am Friday January 3, 2014 at Springhill Cemetery, Huntington, WV.
