Harold Eugene "Mac" McCaleb
(January 16,1929 - January 14, 2014)



Harold Eugene “Mac” McCaleb, 84, of Huntington, WV, died Tuesday January 14, 2014 in St. Mary’s Medical Center. Funeral service will be conducted 12:00 PM Friday January 17, 2014 at Chapman’s Mortuary Huntington, with Pastor’s David Cartwright & William DeMoss officiating. Entombment will be in White Chapel Memorial Gardens, Barboursville. Harold was born January 16, 1929 in Selma, VA, a son of the late William Brooks & Mary Pearl Craft McCaleb. He was a U.S. Marine Corps veteran of the Korean War and retired from Steel of WV. He attended Crossroads United Methodist Church, was a member of the B.P.O.E. 313, Guyandotte Chapter # 89 O.E.S., and Western Star Lodge # 11 A.F. & A.M. whose members will conduct Masonic graveside rites. Veterans Honor Guard Post 16 will conduct military graveside rites. A son, Harold Eugene “Hal” McCaleb, II and a brother Aubrey C. McCaleb, preceded him in death. Survivors include his wife of 60 years, Garnet Francis McCaleb and extended family including several nieces & nephews. Donations may be made to the Crossroads United Methodist Church, 3146 Saltwell Rd., Huntington, WV 25705. Friends may call at Chapman’s Mortuary from 6:00 to 8:00 PM Thursday January 16, 2014.
