Ethel Virginia Maynard
(May 12, 1921 - January 9, 2014)



Ethel Virginia Manier Maynard, 92, of Huntington, passed away January 9, 2014, at Wyngate Senior Living Community. She was born May 12, 1921, in Dallas, Texas, to Charles Edgar Manier and Bessie Elizabeth Lyall. She spent her early years in Tucson, Arizona. She was a retired employee of Huntington Federal Savings Bank. She was a member of Church in the Valley and loved her church family. She was preceded in death by her husband, Arthur S. Maynard, Sr. and sister, Dorothy Bingham. She is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, Arthur Stanley Maynard, Jr. (Stan) and wife Barbara of Huntington, and John Michael Maynard and wife Judy of Springfield, Ill.; a daughter, Anita Sue Wiley of Lutz, Fl.; six grandchildren, Arthur Stanley Maynard, III (Alisha), Michael Travis Maynard (Stacey), Paris Daniel Wiley (Alicia), Julie Nicole Wiley, Mindy Louise Morton (Chris) and Michael Todd Maynard; and seven great-grandchildren, Collin, Hanna and Marissa Maynard, Luke and Seth Morton, Jackson and Logan Maynard, Joey and Kayla Wiley. The funeral service will be conducted by Ethel’s son, Dr. Stan Maynard on Friday, January 17, 2014, at Church in the Valley, Milton, WV at 3:00 pm. Visitation will be held from 2:00 to 3:00 pm at the Church. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Church in the Valley. The family would like to express appreciation to the Wyngate staff for their loving care.
