Danny Joe Hamlin, 56, of Huntington, WV, died Tuesday February 21, 2017 at his residence. Funeral service will be conducted 2:00 PM Monday February 27, 2017 at Chapman's Mortuary Huntington with Pastor Paul Harris officiating. Burial will be in Pete Meadows Cemetery, Glenwood, WV. Danny was born May 21, 1960 in Huntington, WV a son of the late Ray and Evelyn Elkins Hamlin. He was also preceded in death by his wife Judy Hamlin. Survivors include 4 daughters, Rose Mays, Helen Barker and Judith Poe all of Huntington and Rhoda Anderson of Ashton, WV, 1 son, Jerome Bronson of Huntington, 3 sisters, Debbie Nibert and Becky Hamlin both of Glenwood, WV and Mary Johnson of S.C., 2 brothers, Louis Hamlin of Chesapeake, OH and Ray Hamlin, Jr of Ravenna, OH, 22 grandchildren, Amanda Porter of Huntington, Danny Porter of Charleston, Roger and Rodney Porter of Lesage, Danielle, Angela, Billy and Melvin Jones all of Huntington, Danny Jones of South Point, OH, Robert, Clarissa and Austin Crank, Hallie White, George Anderson II, Kayla and Kyla Anderson all of Ashton, Travis, Cody, Gregory, Devan, Xavier and Zachary Bronson all of Huntington and several great great-grandchildren. Visitation will be from 5:00 until 7:00 PM Sunday February 26, 2017 at Chapman's Mortuary.
