Obituary


Gloria Jean Parsley, 75, of Huntington, widow of Carlos Parsley, died Saturday, February 25, 2017 at Cabell Huntington Hospital. She was born January 1, 1942 in Huntington, WV, a daughter of the late Roy Edward and Arlene Ross Vernatt. Gloria also had a sister, Harriet Lambert and a brother, Thomas Vernatt precede her in death. She was a devoted home maker. Survivors include a sister, Brenda (Jimmy) Bailey of Ona, WV; four brothers, Carroll Vernatter of Wayne, WV, Clyde Vernatt of Huntington, Buddy Vernatt of Ona, and Roger (Patricia) Vernatt of Huntington; a niece, Lisa Osbourne; nephew, Steven Bailey; and a great niece, Melissa Porter. Funeral services will be conducted 12:00 pm Wednesday, March 1, 2017 at Chapman's Mortuary with Pastor David A. Webb officiating. Burial will be in Woodmere Memorial Park, Huntington.
