Obituary


Juanita D. Hicks, 92, of Huntington, WV, went to be with the Lord on Thursday, February 16, 2017. She was born July 20, 1924 in Greenup, KY a daughter of the late Scott and Mary Rosie Mormon Bullion. Her husband, Paul W. Hicks; two daughters, Linda Hicks and Amanda Daniels; a granddaughter, Lisa Gibson; a son-in-law, Carnis "Butch" Berry, Jr.; five sisters, Alva Pennington, Cora Gayer, Vernia Price and two infant sisters; and three brothers, Homer, Virgil, and John Bullion, also preceded her in death. She was a member of Lighthouse Baptist Church and had an avid love for flowers, sewing, and crocheting. Survivors include: five daughters, Charlotte Murphy, Connie Hicks, Judy (Donald) Trippett, all of Huntington, Brenda Berry of Cartersville, GA and Mona Hicks of Cincinnati, OH; two granddaughters, Angel Nenni of Huntington and Tami Berry of Cartersville; five grandsons, Paul Berry, James Berry, Paul Daniels, Jr., Joey Daniels and Jeff Cook, all of Huntington; 12 great grandchildren; and special friends, Candy Robinson and Liz Ramsey-Hunter. The family would like to thank Connie and Judy for their love and care of Mom, especially the last three years. The family would also like to thank Hospice of Huntington and Medi Home Health. Funeral services will be conducted 2:00 pm Monday, February 20, 2017, at Chapman's Mortuary, Huntington, with Pastor Dennis Morrello officiating. Burial will be in Oaklawn Memorial Park, Huntington. Visitation will be from 1:00 to 2:00 pm Monday at the funeral home.
