Obituary



Lorraine Pennywitt, 93, of Huntington, widow of Glenn Pennywitt, went to her Heavenly home Friday, February 10, 2017, in the Emogene Dolin Jones Hospice House. Funeral services will be conducted 12:00 pm Tuesday, February 14, 2017, at Chapman's Mortuary, with Pastor Larry Greene officiating. Burial will be in Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens. She was born November 29, 1923, in Huntington, a daughter of the late Marvin and Estella Roper Wyrick. One sister, Vera Smith, and three brothers, Franklin Wyrick, Clyde Wyrick, and Kyle Wyrick also preceded her in death. She was a homemaker and Baptist by faith. Survivors include; one daughter, Glenna Hensley of Huntington; two sons and daughters-in-law, Danny and Donna Pennywitt of Toledo, OH, and Phil and Karen Pennywitt of Lehigh Acres, FL; 5 grandchildren, Renee Hensley, Sean Pennywitt, Chad Pennywitt, Laura Thomas and Ryan Pennywitt; 9 great-grandchildren, 2 great-great-grandchildren; special sister-in-law, Susie Wyrick and two special nieces, Patricia Stinnett and Linda Miles. Friends may call from 6:00 to 8:00 pm Monday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to the Emogene Dolin Jones Hospice House, 3100 Staunton Road, Huntington, WV 25702.
