Doris Jean Crockett (Rowsey), 87, wife of Roy Crockett, went to heaven on Wednesday January 23, 2019 in Heritage Center of Huntington, WV. She was born December 9, 1931 in Cabell County, WV, a daughter of the late Claude and Lillian Bellomy Rowsey. One of 10 children 4 brothers all deceased, Jerry, Johnny, Glenn and James and 1 sister deceased, Ileta Lowe. Four fantastic sisters living, Mary (Pete) McCreary, Delores Arthur, Judy Murphy and Arlene Blankenship. She was a member of the Prince of Peace Church, a Rebekah (women's branch of IOOF chapter #64 of Huntington, WV), a homemaker and loved the Lord as well as spending time with family and friends. On September 27, 1947 she married her lifelong best friend Roy Crockett spending 72 years together. They had 4 children, Kenneth Crockett (deceased), with surviving children, Roy Allen (Rhonda) Crockett, Eva Sue (Frank) Sponaugle and Donna Bentley, 10 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews and friends. Chapman's Mortuary Huntington is assisting the family.
