Obituary



Arnold Raleigh, 89, currently of Huntington, WV and formerly of Ft. Thomas, KY and Ft. Myers, FL was welcomed as a good and faithful servant into the arms of his Heavenly Savior on Tuesday, January 1, 2019, after an extended illness. Arnold was born on June 14, 1929 to Joe C. and Sola Mae Adams Raleigh. He was a retired AMO Job Setter with Ford Motor Company. Mr. Raleigh was a member of his beloved Newport First Church of the Nazarene for over 60 years where he taught Sunday School, worked with the youth, drove a church bus and the list could go on and on. He was preceded in death by his wife Lenora F. Kelley Raleigh; daughter and son-in-law Sandra Lee and Robert F. Duve; nine brothers and sisters and a host of extended family. Arnold is survived by one son, Michael (Brenda) Raleigh of Ft. Thomas, KY and one daughter, Elizabeth (Craig) Miller of Huntington, WV; six grandchildren, Angela Duve, Michael (Michelle) Raleigh, Rachel Raleigh, Nathan Miller, Kelley (Zach) Miller Lego and Jonathan Miller; eight great grandchildren, Anthony and Gabriel Burden, Hannah Clark, Cooper and Hadley Jane Lego, Chayse and Sydney Raleigh and Alyssa Damron; and two great great grandchildren, Liam and Lucas Burden. Funeral services will be conducted 6:00 pm Thursday, January 3, 2019, at Chapman's Mortuary, Huntington, with Pastor Shirley Ball officiating. Visitation will be from 5:00 to 6:00 pm Thursday at Chapman's Mortuary. Additional funeral services will be conducted 2:00 pm Friday, January 4, 2019, at Newport First Church of the Nazarene, Newport, Ky with Pastor Keith Raney officiating. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery, Southgate, KY. Visitation will be from 1:00 to 2:00 pm Friday at the church.
