James Ralph Thompson, 70, of Huntington, husband of Lucy Sumkeris Thompson, died Sunday, January 27, 2019 at home. He was a truck driver/construction worker. He was born March 8, 1948 in Huntington, a son of the late Boyd and Viola Tomblin Thompson. In addition to his parents, a son, Joshua Aaron Thompson, and 6 siblings also preceded him in death. Survivors in addition to his wife include; two grandchildren, Madison Thompson and Joshua Aaron Thompson, Jr; one nephew, Jesse Maynard; and his Beloved Beth and dear friends, Denise Stapleton and Teresa McCloud. At his request, there will be no services. Chapman's Mortuary is assisting the family.
