Obituary

Russell Leroy Foster, better known as "Rusty", 60, of Proctorville, OH, went home to be with the Lord Saturday, January 12, 2019, surrounded by his girls who loved him. Funeral services will be conducted 12:00 pm Wednesday, January 16, 2019, at Chapman's Mortuary with his brother Pastor Phil Foster officiating. Burial will follow in Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens. Rusty was born February 23, 1958 in Charleston, SC., a son of the late Charles Foster. In addition to his father, one brother Timothy Foster and his Paternal Grandmother, Thelma Foster also preceded him in death. He spent his life as a resident of Huntington, where he met many people who loved him in all walks of life. These walks always consisted of stories he shared from his days at Hill's Department Store, East End Body shop where he worked auto-body for over twenty-five years, playing sports at Beverly Hills, or fun times he shared playing the bass in his band Another Round. Rusty was a jack of all trades, and loved to work on cars, play and sing music, golf, and spending evenings on the phone reminiscing about the good days with his friends. Left to mourn him are his loving wife of 38 years, Shelia Sauls Foster; two daughters, Kristen Foster and Kaitlyn "Katie" Foster; his mother, Roslyn Boggs Foster; one sister and her husband, Rebecca Foster Johnson (Greg); brother and his wife, Philip Foster (Julie Parsley Foster); one niece, Kelsey Johnson; four nephews, Austin Johnson (Kayla), Aaron Foster, Luke Foster and Justin Pizzino; and his beloved grand dog, "Louis" who was his constant companion in the last few months. Also, a whole host of friends who he truly cared about. Friends may call from 6:00 to 8:00 pm Tuesday, January 15, 2019 at the funeral home.
