Patricia Lou Adams
(September 9, 1933 - May 21, 2011)



Patricia Lou Adams, 77, of Huntington, passed away Saturday, May 21, 2011 at Heartland of Riverview, South Point, OH. Funeral services will be conducted 12:30 PM Tuesday May 24, 2011 at Chapman’s Mortuary with Pastor Jerry Shaw officiating. Burial will be in White Chapel Memorial Gardens, Barboursville. Patricia was born September 9, 1933 in Huntington a daughter of the late William Gilbert and Beatrice Lou Marshall Gilbert Stewart. A son, George Michael Adams: two brothers, Joe Gilbert and Larry Gilbert; and her stepfather, Sam Stewart, also preceded her in death. She was a former operator for the former C&P Telephone Company, a member of Crooks Chapel Church, VFW 9738 Ladies Auxilary, and the Telephone Pioneers of America. She also was a past president of the C&P Telephone Workers Union. Survivors include two sons and a daughter-in-law, Bruce and Angela Adams of Huntington, and William E. Adams of Greenville, SC; a brother and sister-in-law, David and Beryl Gilbert of Huntington; three grandchildren, Elizabeth Bradley and husband, W.T. Bradley, IV of Teays Valley, WV, Bruce David Adams, II of Portland, OR, and Kala M. Wolhoy and husband, James Wolhoy of Ashland, KY; three great grandchildren, Amiranda Adams, Brooklyn Adams, and William Thomas “Will” Bradley, V; and numerous nieces and nephews. Friends may call 6:00-8:00 PM Monday at Chapman’s Mortuary, Huntington.
