Claire L. Lieving
(January 9, 1928 - May 19, 2011)



Claire L. Lieving, 83, of Huntington, wife of Robert E. Lieving, died Thursday May 19, 2011 at the Emogene Dolin Jones Hospice House. She was born January 9, 1928 in Mason, WV, a daughter of the late Roscoe Everett and Clara Frances Young Roush. Claire also had a grandson, Greg Hall precede her in death. She was a member of St. John’s Episcopal Church, and a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, and homemaker. In addition to her husband, survivors include three daughters and sons-in-law, Karen and Edward Morrison and Nancy and Doug Hall, all of Huntington, and Linda and David Eplin of Barboursville; a son and daughter-in-law, Robert S. and Kathy Lieving of Huntington; six grandchildren, Mary Beth Anderson and husband Kit Anderson, Eddie Morrison and wife Stephanie Morrison, Matt Lieving, Sarah Smalley, David Eplin, II, and Nick Smith; and nine great grandchildren. Memorial services will be conducted at 11:00 AM Monday May 23, 2011 at St. John’s Episcopal Church, 3000 Washington Blvd, with the Reverend Karen F. Humbert officiating. Inurnment will be in the St. John’s Episcopal Columbarium. A reception, visitation will be at the church following the service at 12:30 PM in Tyler Hall. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to St. John’s Episcopal Church or the Ronald McDonald House, 1500 17th Street, Huntington, WV 25701.
