Geneva Genevieve Howard Jarvis
(August 14, 1926 - May 20, 2011)



Geneva Genevieve Howard Jarvis, 84, of Huntington, went home to be with the Lord, Friday May 20, 2011 from Heritage Center, Huntington. Funeral services will be conducted 2:00 PM Tuesday May 24, 2011 at Chapman’s Mortuary with Pastor David Viars officiating. Burial will be in Woodmere Memorial Park, Huntington. She was born August 14, 1926 in Huntington, WV, a daughter of the late Robert Golden and Alta Chapman Gillespie. She is also the widow of Clarence Paul Howard and Lonnie Jarvis, and had a half brother, Steve Gillespie, precede her in death. She was a wonderful homemaker, and a member of Highlawn Full Gospel Assembly. Survivors include three daughters and two sons-in-law, Susan Early, Rose and Joshua Moore, and Angela and Charles D. Arthur, all of Huntington; three sons and daughters-in-law, Clarence Paul Howard, Jr, and Deloras Howard, and David and Carolyn Howard, all of Huntington, and Jerry and Lana Howard of Wayne; a sister, Patsy Fugate of Huntington; half brother, Danny Gillespie of Huntington; and a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great great grandchildren.
