Vernena Mae Jones Campbell Pyles
(July 17, 1921 - May 29, 2011)


Vernena Mae Jones Campbell Pyles, 89, of Huntington, passed away Sunday May 29, 2011 in Huntington Health and Rehabilation Center. Graveside services will be conducted 2:00 pm Thursday June 2, 2011 at White Chapel Memorial Gardens Barboursville, with Rev. Caudle Adkins officiating. Burial will follow. She was born July 17, 1921, in Athalia, Ohio, a daughter of the late Roy Keith and Ellen McComas Jones. Her first husband, Charles Campbell, her second husband, George Pyles, one sister and two brothers also preceded her in death. She was a homemaker and Baptist by faith. Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, Donald and Marjorie Jones of Huntington; a granddaughter and her husband Beth Ann and Michael Kreuger; and two great-grandchildren, Owen and Chloe Kreuger all of Huntington. Friends may call from 6:00 to 8:00 pm Wednesday June 1, 2011 a Chapman’s Mortuary. The procession will leave the funeral home at 1:30 pm Thursday June 2, 2011 to go to the cemetery.
