Madeline Elizabeth Johnson

Madeline Elizabeth Johnson, 90, of Huntington, widow of Lester Johnson, passed away Wednesday May 11, 2011, in Cabell Huntington Hospital. A celebration of her life will be conducted 1:00 pm Friday May 13, 2011, at Community of Grace United Methodist Church, with Pastor Steve Hamrick officiating. Burial will be at a later date. She was born July 10, 1920, in Cabell County, WV, a daughter of the late Thomas and Clara Johnson Pierce. She was a homemaker and a member of Community of Grace United Methodist Church. A daughter, Tina Perrault, two sons Dennis Johnson and Shawn Cremeans, and a granddaughter, Tracey Perry also preceded her in death. Survivors include three daughters and two sons-in-law, Nancy Dingess of Barboursville, WV, Linda and Charles Beaver of Kenova, WV, Karen and Michael Kirtley of Huntington; one son Kevin Johnson of Indianapolis, IN; a sister and brother-in-law, Mary Frances and John Sacrinty of Reedsville, NC; 16 grandchildren, Lisa Smith, David Dingess, Deborah Withrow, Michael Johnson, Jim Elliott, Jeff Elliott, Jeremy Elliott, Andi Kirtley, Aaron Kirtley, Kevin Johnson, Chris Johnson, Christopher Johnson, Devon Cremeans, Mirah Cremeans, Sonya Harchoui and Andi Simmons; 13 great-grandchildren and 4 great-great grandchildren. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Leap Scholarship fund c/o Community of Grace United Methodist Church. Friends may call from noon to service time Friday at the church.
