Ella Leigh Lucas Brumfield Roberts
(October 24, 1925 - May 14, 2011)


Ella Leigh Lucas Brumfield Roberts, 85, of Lesage, W V, passed away Saturday, May 14, 2011, at Wayne Nursing and Rehab, Wayne, WV. Funeral services will be conducted 11:00 AM Wednesday, May 18, 2011, at Chapman’s Mortuary, Huntington, with Pastor Jamie Jefferson officiating. Burial will be in Arthur Cemetery, Ona., WV. She was born October 24, 1925 in Cabell County, WV a daughter of the late Sidney and Mabel Vance Lucas. She was a member of Oak Hill UBI Church, and was a retired L.P.N. with the Huntington State Hospital. Survivors include: her husband, Sidney Buford Roberts; two daughters and sons-in-law, Karen Brumfield Massie and Edwin Massie of Milton, WV and Pam Brumfield Steele and Donald Steele of Hickory, NC; a son and daughter-in-law, Richard and Janice Faye Brumfield of Cullman, AL; seven grandchildren, Amanda Lee Butler, Stephanie Ann Crider, Jeff Steele, Mark Steele, Tisha Christian, Hollie Massie, and Eddie Massie; seventeen great grandchildren; and two sisters, Anna Mae Vickers of Huntington and Patty Taylor of Columbus, OH. The family would like to express a special thanks to Wayne Nursing and Rehab for their loving care.
