Llewellyn "Lou" Smith Goodall Adkins
(March 19, 1936 - May 13, 2011)



Peacefully on the morning of May 13, 2011, Llewellyn “Lou” Smith Goodall Adkins, 75, died at Hospice House of Huntington with her family by her side. Born March 19, 1936, the daughter of the late Earle and Irene Smith, Lou is preceded in death by her son, Chris Goodall, and husband, Don Adkins. She is survived by her son, Michael (Lori) Goodall, and two daughters, Diane (Donald) Goodall Bowsher, and Michele Adkins. She also leaves behind three grandsons, whom she loved with all of her heart, Shane Goodall, Ryan Wills, and Logan Wills, as well as a great-grandson, Zach Gillette. She also leaves behind a very special cousin, Patricia Leach, and a lifetime friend, Dorothy J. Watson. Lou worked as a bookkeeper for Highlawn Pharmacy and retired from Berryhill Garden and Craft Center. She has resided at Heritage Center for the past three years. Her family is forever grateful for the love and devotion provided during her last years. Chapman’s Mortuary is in charge of services. Visitation will be Sunday, May 15, from 6-8 pm. The funeral will be Monday, May 16, at 11 am with the Minister Anthony Stradwick residing. Pall bearers will be her son, grandsons, son-in-law, and John Wills. Burial will be at Ridgelawn Cemetery. Donations may be made to Hospice of Huntington, who made Lou’s last days precious and her journey to heaven peaceful.
