Gerial Franklin Burdette, Sr.
(September 28, 1929 - March 29, 2015)

Gerial Franklin Burdette, Sr. passed away Sunday, March 29, 2015, at the Emogene Dolin Jones Hospice House. He was born September 28, 1929 in Huntington, WV a son of the late Julia and Elmer Burdette. He was also preceded in death by a son, Rod Burdette. He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II and the Korean War and was a retired employee of the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers. He is survived by his wife, Angela; three children, Marshall Burdette (wife Peggy), Gerial Burdette, Jr. (wife Patty), and Lori Burdette (husband Brian); five grandchildren (Heath Burdette, Jason Burdette, Caleb Burdette, Jennie Burdette, and John McCoy); and seven great grandchildren. Memorial contributions may be made to the Emogene Dolin Jones Hospice House, 3100 Staunton Road, Huntington, WV 25702. In accordance with his wishes, there will be no services. Chapman’s Mortuary, Huntington, is assisting the family.
