Harry Robert Spurlock
(February 2, 1919 - March 13, 2015)

Harry Robert Spurlock, 96, of Glenwood, WV, went to be with his Lord, Friday March 13, 2015 at Genesis Health Care Putnam Center, Hurricane, WV where he lived for past 41/2 years. Funeral service will be conducted at noon on Tuesday March 17, 2015 at Chapman Mortuary Huntington with Pastor Ray Knapp officiating. Burial will be in Union Ridge Cemetery, Glenwood, WV beside his mother & father. Harry was born February 2, 1919 in Cabell County, WV a son of the late Robert Eustace & Ona Simpson Spurlock. Also preceding him in death were three brothers, Paul, Clyde Jr., & Garland Spurlock and one sister, Louise May. Harry was a member of the Spurlock Creek Apostolic Church, in Glenwood. He was well known for going to church all of his life, even if he had to walk. He made a big impression on everyone that met him. He treated everyone like family. Harry is survived by several nieces & nephews and many great nieces & nephews. Visitation will be from 6:00 until 8:00 PM Monday March 16, 2015 at Chapman’s Mortuary.
