Roger Owen Hamlin
(December 14, 1942 - March 15, 2015

Roger Owen Hamlin, 72, of Barboursville, WV, passed away Sunday, March 15, 2015, in the Emogene Dolin Jones Hospice House, Huntington. He was born December 14, 1942 in Huntington, WV a son of the late Morris and Thelma Aldine Atkins Hamlin. Two daughters, Mary and Mindy Hamlin, also preceded him in death. He was a former employee of D & E Tool Company and was a member of Apostolic Life Cathedral. Survivors include: his wife, Joan Dillman Hamlin; a daughter, Gina Hamlin of Barboursville, WV; three grandchildren, Kevin, Todd, and Alicia Hamlin, all of Barboursville; a sister and brother-in-law, LaVona and Leroy Sauters of Ravenswood, WV; Larry and Kay Hamlin of Huntington; and a special nephew, Kenny Johnson of Huntington. A memorial service will be conducted at noon on Friday, March 20, 2015, at Lesage Apostolic Church (at the intersection of Nine Mile Road and Ohio River Road) with Pastor Jerry Stickler officiating. Inurnment will be in Baylous Cemtery, Salt Rock, WV. Chapman’s Mortuary, Huntington, is assisting the family. Donations may be made to the funeral home to offset expenses.
