Gary P. "Duke" Thompson, Sr.
(July 5, 1951 - March 24, 2015)

Gary P. “Duke” Thompson, Sr., 63, of Huntington, WV, passed away Tuesday March 24, 2015. Memorial Service will be held 2:00 PM Saturday March 28, 2015 at the Proctorville Volunteer Fire Department’s Bingo Hall in Proctorville, OH. Gary was born July 5, 1951 in Baltimore, MD a son of the late Madge & Joe Thompson, Sr. He was a former employee of the City of Huntington and Owner of TÂ’s Lawn care Service. He was loved by so many and will be greatly missed by many. “Fly Away”. He was also preceded in death a special nephew, Ray Kilgore. Survivors include his loving wife of 43 years, Virginia “Maw” Thompson and five children, Annie Sutton, Gary P. Thompson, Jr. (Tisena Ventola), Cindy Thompson, Carollyn (Bryan) Goodpaster, Nathan (Lydia) Thompson, sixteen grandkids, Brad (Sondi) Sutton, Adara Sutton, Brandon Thompson, Courtney (Eddie) Adkins, Zach Clagg, Lauren Adkins, Laura Ramsey, Bianca (Derek) Wentz, Chasity Clagg (Casey Damron), Erica Topping (Corey Jeffers), Bryan Tomblin (Joy Swann), Ryan & Maddie Goodpaster, Nathan Thompson II, Tyler & Anthony Thompson, ten great grandkids, Kiara, Brooklyn, Aubrey, Alayna, Isabella, Madison, Troy, Addy, Khylee & baby Damron, a very special sister, Jackie Chapman, brother, Tommy Thompson, a special niece Shelly Chapman & a special nephew Chop Kilgore. Several great nieces & nephews and great great nieces & nephews and two very special friends C.E & G.W. Chapman’s Mortuary Huntington is assisting the family.
