Joshua Andrew Martin
(July 16, 1993 - March 18, 2015)

Joshua Andrew Martin, 21, of Huntington, WV, passed away Wednesday, March 18, 2015, in Huntington. He was born July 16, 1993 in Huntington. He was a student at Marshall University; was a member of St. Peter Clavier Catholic Church where he was a member of the choir; worked at the mall at Hollister and Fox where he was on the cast of Hollister advertising; and worked at Pullman Plaza. He was an avid musician; liked to write music; liked to skateboard; and loved to make people laugh and smile. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Wayne Nathaniel Martin; paternal great grandfather, Arthur "Sarge" Speakes; great great grandmother, Edna Duckworth; great uncle, Wesley "the free spirited one"; and an uncle, Shane Jordan. Survivors include: his mother and step father, Tammy Dee and Brad Clements of Huntington; his father and longtime girlfriend, Justin Martin and Shelley Ransbottom of Huntington; paternal grandmother, Donna Speakes of Huntington; maternal grandparents, Jim and Patricia Whisman of Proctorville, OH; four brothers, Justin “J.J.”, Jason, and Jordan Martin and Torrey Baker; two sisters, Santana Martin and Gloria Wells; Step grandparents, Adrian and Sandra Clements of Huntington; Aunts, Tracy Martin (Josh was Aunt Tracy’s mini me), Tina Falco, and Lesley Gilbert (Chris); Uncles, Tim Powell, T.J. Whisman (Lou), Tommy Whisman (Jenny) and Jacques Clements; special friend, Jack, and numerous cousins and friends. Funeral services will be conducted 2:00 pm Tuesday, March 24, 2015, at Chapman’s Mortuary, Huntington, with Father Livinus Uba officiating. A rosary will be recited at 1:45 pm prior to services. Burial will be in Spring Hill Cemetery, Huntington. Visitation will be from 12:30 pm to 1:45 pm Tuesday at Chapman’s Mortuary. In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting donations be sent to Chapman’s to offset expenses.
