Obituary



Arlene Fay Damron 80, of Huntington, widow of Hager Damron, passed away Friday, January 12, 2018 in St. Mary's Medical Center. Funeral services will be conducted 2:00 pm Tuesday, January 16, 2018 at Chapman's Mortuary, with Rev. Dr. Thom Malcom officiating. Burial will follow in Woodmere Memorial Park. Born August 21, 1937, in Cabell County, she was a daughter of the late Arnett and Ethel Perdue Barbour. In addition to her parents and husband, an infant daughter, Rosetta Damron, and a brother, Alfred Barbour preceded her in death. She was a member of Mount Union United Methodist Church and worked as a tax preparer for H & R Block. Survivors include one son and his wife, Greg and Heather Damron of Parkersburg, WV; 3 grandsons, Jonathan and Rhani Damron of Ona, WV, Griffin and Holton Damron both of Parkersburg; one great-grandson, Desmond Hager Damron; one sister and her husband, Phyllis and Lynn Campbell; one brother and his wife, Dale and Sandy Barbour all of Huntington.
