Obituary



L. Aileen Jones, 79, of Huntington, widow of Clarence Junior Jones, died Tuesday, January 23, 2018 at the Emogene Dolin Jones Hospice House. She was born August 7, 1938 in Wyoming County, WV, a daughter of the late Odie Oliver and Phoebe Marie Sizemore Walker. In addition to her husband and parents she was preceded in death by a twin sister at birth; a sister, Icy Emogene Mills; and a half-brother, Chester Paul Foley. Aileen graduated in 1957 from Narrows High School in Virginia, was a long-standing member of Fourth Avenue United Methodist Church, and had worked at St. Mary's Hospital in housekeeping, and Children's Place, but mostly with her passion, Child Care. Survivors include two step daughters, Sheila Ann Holley (Richard) of Huntington, and Gloria Jean Bowen (Gary) of Ona; two half-brothers, Floyd Emerson Foley of Little River, SC, and John Foley of Pittsburg, PA; five step grandchildren, seven step great grandchildren, and friend and caretakers, Joe and Judy Paden of Huntington. Funeral services will be conducted 2:00 pm Friday, January 26, 2018 at Chapman's Mortuary with Pastor Ross Thornton officiating. Burial will be in Spring Hill Cemetery, Huntington.
