Obituary



James Robert Small, 33, of Huntington, WV, went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, January 3, 2018, from complications of heart disease. He was born January 25, 1984 in Huntington a son of Robert Gene Small II and Terri Neel Marozzi. His paternal grandfather, Robert G. Small, preceded him in death. He attended Apostolic Life Cathedral and enjoyed coaching youth basketball and wrestling and watching his children participate in these sports. Survivors include: his father, Robert Gene Small II and Michelle of Huntington; his mother, Terri Neel Marozzi of Florida; his paternal grandmother, Dolores Small, with whom he made his home; four children, Keileigh Small and her mother, Angelina Russo, and Mya Thomas, James Small, and Isaac Thomas, and their mother, Kristana Thomas, all of Huntington; a brother and sister-in-law, Shawn Allen and Ashley Merritt, of Florida; a niece, Angelina Merritt of Florida; an aunt, Teresa Small of Florida; an uncle and aunt, Mike and Norma Harper of Huntington; an aunt and uncle, Betty and Ron Short of Huntington; a cousin, Ron Short of Huntington; his best friend, John Blackmore; special friends, Lyndsy Higgins, Nick Dunn and Ray and Linda Merritt; and a host of other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be conducted 2:00 pm Tuesday, January 9, 2018, at Woodmere Memorial Park Abbey of Remembrance with Bishop Edwin S. Harper officiating. Burial will follow. Visitation will be from 1:30 to 2:00 pm Tuesday at the cemetery.
