Jean T. Bentley, 85, of Huntington, WV, passed away Wednesday, December 7, 2011, in the Hospice House, Huntington. Jean was born September 23, 1926 in Wayne County, WV a daughter of the late Jesse James and Louella Carver Dempsey. Her husband, Carl Bentley and several sisters and brothers, also preceded her in death. She attended Central Freewill Baptist Church. Survivors include: two daughters, Deborah Bentley and Carla (Merle) Sherman; two grandchildren, Suzie Bentley and Amanda (Matt) Venoy: two great grandchildren, Brock and Karlee Tackett; three sisters, Clara Moore, Patty Buchannan and Emily (Louis) Sharp; and a special niece, Scherry Johnson.. Funeral services will be conducted 2:00 PM Friday, December 9, 2011, at Chapman’s Mortuary, Huntington, with Pastor Ivan Asbury officiating. Burial will be in Dock’s Creek Cemetery, Kenova, WV. Friends may call at Chapman’s Mortuary one hour prior to the service on Friday.
