Obituary

Elbert W. Bias
(October 29, 1924 - January 5, 2011)



Mr. Elbert W. Bias, 86, of Huntington, widower of Frances Bias, passed away Wednesday, January 5, 2011, in the Emogene Dolin Jones Hospice House. He was a retired employee of the C & O Railroad, and a veteran. He was born October 29, 1924 at Huntington, WV, a son of the late William A. and Lennie Jane Holley Bias. He was also preceded in death by a sister, Lola Mae Spears. He was a member of the 26th Street Baptist Church and was very active in the Fairfield Senior Citizens Association. He is survived by a brother, Billy Lonzo Bias and a sister Estia Cremeans, both of Huntington. Graveside funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM Monday, January 10, 2011, at the Woodmere Abbey of Remembrance. Burial will follow in Woodmere Memorial Park. Friends may visit with the family after 12:30 pm Monday at the cemetery. Chapman's Mortuary is in charge of funeral arrangements.
