Doris Jean Scott

Doris Jean Scott, 79, of Huntington, WV, passed away Sunday, January 30, 2011, in Madison Park. Doris was born September 8, 1931 in Huntington, WV a daughter of the late Walter and Genevieve Rankin. She was a retired employee of Connor Steel, where she had worked for many years, and was a member of Trinity Church of God. Survivors include: cousins, Lola Blondis Mullinix of Diamondhead, MS, Bernadine Simpson of St. Albans, WV, Mary Ranson of Melbourne, FL, Florence Grimm of New Haven, WV, and Paul Lett of Poca, WV; and a dear friend, Cynthia Adkins of Huntington. Graveside services will be conducted 2:00 PM Wednesday, February 2, 2011, at the Woodmere Memorial Park, Abbey of Peace, with Pastor Ken Toler officiating. Burial will follow. Friends may call from 1:30 to 2:00 PM Wednesday at the cemetery. Chapman's Mortuary, Huntington, is assisting the family.
