Esther R. Irby
(October 3, 1926 - January 23, 2011


Mrs. Esther R. Irby, 84, of South Point Ohio, widow of Elmer A. Irby, Jr., passed away Sunday, January 23, 2011 at the Emogene Dolin Jones Hospice House. Funeral services will be conducted at 12:30 Wednesday, January 26, 2011 at Chapman's Mortuary, with Rev. Brad Jenkins officiating. Burial will be in Highland Memory Gardens, South Point, OH. She was born October 3, 1926 at Potters, KY, a daughter of the late James Elaxander and Ollie Jane Caines Jones. She was also preceded in death by a granddaughter, Jessica Irby. She was a 50 year member of Louisa Chapter 292 OES, Coal Grove Memorial United Methodist Church, United Methodist Women, and Christian Womens Club, Surviving are 2 daughters and sons-in-law, Suzanne and Merle Toumey of Tucson, AZ. Leigh and Wally Christian of South Point, OH; 2 sons, Mike Irby of South Point and Al Irby of Idaho; 6 grandchildren, Michael Irby, Jamie Naylor, Jim Christian, Jennifer Christian, Jeremiah Sabin, and Jaquelyn Toumey; 3 great grandchildren, Savanna Rhea Naylor, Landon Naylor and Regan Jiles.
