Peggy J. White
(July 21, 1933 - January 13, 2011)

Peggy J. White, 77, of Proctorville, OH, wife of Carl E. White, Sr., passed away Thursday January 13, 2011, at the Emogene Dolin Jones Hospice House. Funeral services will be conducted 11:00 AM Monday January 17, 2011 at Chapman's Mortuary with the Rev. Keith Leap and Pastor Steve Hamrick officiating. Burial will be in White Chapel Memorial Gardens, Barboursville. Peggy was born July 21, 1933, in Huntington, WV, a daughter of the late Alex Church and Ruth Chapman Sansom. She also had a sister, Ann Swartwood and a brother, Richard D. Horne, Jr., precede her in death. Peggy graduated in 1951 from Huntington East High School, was a member of the Proctorville Women's Club, and attended Highlawn Methodist Church. She retired from Sears as an assistant manager in the service department. In addition to her husband survivors include, two sons and a daughter-in-law, Carl E. White, Jr., and wife Denise White of Alpharetta, GA, and Jeff White of Cincinnati, OH; six grandchildren, Daniel White, Katie Seitz and husband Marc Seitz, Zac White, David White, Ben White, and Caitlin White; two sisters and a brother-in-law, Betty Wamsley of Barboursville, and Mary and Forest Kimler of Saint Augustine, FL; a brother and sister-in-law, Robert and Tijuana Horne of McKinney, TX; and longtime friend, Janice Patrick of Huntington. Donations may be made to the Emogene Dolin Jones Hospice House. Friends may call 5:00-7:00 PM Sunday at Chapman's Mortuary.
