Norma Lee Carpenter, 90, of Huntington, WV, passed away Tuesday, May 8, 2018, in St. Mary's Medical Center. She was born January 30, 1928 in Kerr Station, OH a daughter of the late George and Nora Thomas Arnold. Her husband, Fred S. Carpenter; two sisters; and a brother, also preceded her in death. She was an avid seamstress. Survivors include: a son and daughter-in-law, Ken and Sandy Carpenter of Atlantic Beach, FL; two daughters and a son-in-law, Jeanie and Tim Klim of Huntington and Janet Carpenter of Charlotte, NC; four grandchildren, Kendall (Jeannette) Carpenter of Granville, OH, Christian Carpenter of Columbus, OH, Michael Carpenter of California, and Amy Klim of Huntington; three great grandchildren, Sarah Carpenter and John Carpenter, both of Granville, OH and Sam Carpenter of California. A memorial service will be conducted 3:00 pm Saturday, May 12, 2018, at Chapman's Mortuary, Huntington. The family suggests casual attire in memory of their mother and grandmother. The family would like to thank the ER Doctors, Nurses and staff at St. Mary's ER Department for their outstanding care and attention during our time of need. Inurnment will be at a later date in Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens, Huntington.
