Obituary



Bonnie Lou Skaggs, 87, of Huntington, wife of Rev. Leo Skaggs, gained her heavenly home on Wednesday, May 16, 2018 from the Emogene Dolin Jones Hospice House. Funeral services will be conducted 2:00 pm Tuesday, May 22, 2018 at Chapman's Mortuary with Dr. Jerry Warren and Pastor Scott Duncan officiating. Entombment will be in the White Chapel Mausoleum at White Chapel Memorial Gardens, Barboursville. She was born May 15, 1931 in Edmond, WV, a daughter of the late Bert and Gladys Small Jones. Other family that has preceded her in death are a sister, Jane Stanley; and a brother, Eugene Jones. Bonnie was a homemaker and a wonderful mother and grandmother. She was a member of Calvary Baptist Church of Wayne where her husband is ministering at this time and had supported him through his many years of his ministry. In addition to her husband, survivors include her six children, three daughters and sons-in-law; Sandra Jo and John Duncan, and Jill Ann and Bob Eytcheson, all of Huntington , and Kristi Jane and Everett Reeves of Ashland, KY; three sons and two daughters-in-law; Jerry Leo Skaggs, and Jon Kelly and Andrea "Andi" Skaggs, all of Huntington, and Kevin Jeffrey and Susan Skaggs of Milton; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Nick and Phyllis Jones of Lookout, WV, and Jim and Jan Jones of Leeper, PA; 15 grandchildren and 23 great grandchildren. Friends may visit with family 6:00-8:00 pm Monday, May 21, 2018 at Chapman's Mortuary.
