Obituary



Larry Otis Sias, 69, of Huntington, WV, died Saturday May 19, 2018 at the Emogene Dolin Jones Hospice House. Memorial service will be held 6:00 PM Friday May 25, 2018 at Chapman's Mortuary Huntington with Pastor Demetrius Sawyer officiating. Larry was born April 25, 1949 in West Hamlin, WV a son of the late Okie and Willia Adkins Sias. He was a U.S. Army Veteran, a member of the National Am Vets, American Legion Post 200, and VFW Post 9738 and he retired from the V.A. Medical Center in 1996. He was also preceded in death by one son, L. Scott Sias and one sister, Mary (Jeff) Polichena. Survivors include his wife Anne Baskowsky Sias, one daughter, Jennifer (Toby) Chavers of Mobile, AL, three grandsons, one great granddaughter, numerous nieces and nephews, two sisters, Carolyn Stark of Ceredo, WV, Nikki (David) Stiltner of Huntington, five brothers-in-law and his mother-in-law, Margaret M. Baskowsky of Trenton, NJ. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the charity of one's choice. Veterans Honor Guard Post 16 will render military Honors.
