Obituary



Helen Wanda Adkins Holley, 91, of Huntington, widow of Ivan E. Holley, Jr., passed away Saturday, May 12, 2018 at the Woodlands Retirement Community. She was born January 2, 1927 in Huntington, WV, a daughter of the late Jake and Eva Booth Adkins. In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by two brothers, Raymond M. and Linville L. Adkins, both of Huntington; and two sisters Deloris Napier of Huntington and Ella Adkins of Lakeland, FL. She is survived by a son, Ronald Wayne Holley of Huntington; a grandson, Christopher W. Holley (Heidi) and two great grandsons, Christopher T. and William O. Holley, all of Lowell, NC; and two brothers, Jim Adkins and Oscar Adkins (Judy), all of Fort Myers, FL. Helen is a past Worthy Matron of Guyandotte Chapter 89 O.E.S. and she was a member of the Twenty-Sixth Street Baptist Church. She worked for the Reliance Manufacturing Company and retired from Corbin Ltd., with 28 years of service. Entombment will be in the Christus Chapel at White Chapel Memorial Gardens, Barboursville, with private services conducted by Pastor Tim Arthur.
