Obituary



Quinton Ray Keeling, 92, of Huntington, WV, passed away Tuesday, May 22, 2018, in Cabell Huntington Hospital. He was born May 4, 1926 in Hurricane, WV a son of the late Ross and Mamie Hodge Keeling. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Jacqualine Wood Keeling; a son, Ronald Ray Keeling; three sisters, Ginger King, Jean Brown, and Lucille Wallace; and a brother, Bill Keeling. Ray was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II; a former boilermaker with the C and O Railroad; and a retired grocer. He was a Baptist by Faith, a member of Highlawn Baptist Church and a Mason with Lodge #11 AF and AM. Survivors include: a daughter, Melinda Keeling Allen of Huntington; a son and daughter-in-law, Bruce Allen and Patricia Baldwin Keeling of Orlando, FL; a daughter-in-law, Patricia Waybright Keeling of Huntington; four grandchildren, Neisha Keeling (Gary) Lockney, Bryan (Rebekah) Allen, Heather Keeling (Phillip) Turner, and Alexander Stewart Keeling; nine great grandchildren; and a brother and sister-in-law, Harold "Boots" and Rosalie Keeling of Union, WV. Funeral services will be conducted 2:00 pm Friday, June 1, 2018, at Chapman's Mortuary, Huntington, with Pastor Robin Crouch officiating. Burial will be in Rome Cemetery, Proctorville, OH with Veterans Honor Guard Post 16 conducting military graveside rites. Visitation will be from 1:00 to 2:00 pm Friday at the funeral home.
