Katherine Parnell Sanford died Tuesday May 1, 2018 at St. Mary's Medical Center. Kathy was born August 29, 1957 in Huntington, WV. She was a daughter of the late Vernon and Jeannie Lay. Survivors include one sister, Judy Burgess-Riggs in addition to Chris, Kim, Ethan, and the apple of her aunt's eye, Addison Burgess. Also surviving are Jack, Elizabeth, John, and Mathew Klim. Kathy spent the last 8 years in the Huntington area with her fiancée Edward Wood and beloved dog "Biscuit." She was loved and cherished by all who knew her. There will be a private graveside service at a later date. Chapman's Mortuary Huntington is assisting the family.
