Obituary



Fern Louise Parsons Cox, 60, of Huntington, died Friday, April 28, 2017 at her residence. Fern was born January 8, 1957 in Louisa, KY, and was preceded in death by three sisters, two brothers, and her parents, Don and Virginia Thornhill Blankenship. She was a homemaker and caring mother to her children and grandchildren. Survivors include two daughters, Whitney Burgess and good friend, Anthony Ashworth, and Virginia Stamper, all of Huntington; two sons, Tommy Sorrells and wife, Pam Sorrells, and Dave Poe, all of South Point, OH; two grandchildren, Willie Linville and wife, Nicole Linville, and Kahlan Nicole Burgess, all of Huntington; two great grandchildren, Jaylan Nevaeh Leffingwell and Willie Linville, Jr.; and eight sisters and two brothers. A memorial service will be planned at a later date. Chapman's Mortuary is assisting the family.
