Obituary


Emma Lou McGinnis 93, of Kenova, widow of William "Bill" McGinnis passed away Monday, April 3, 2017, in Huntington Health and Rehab. She retired from Owens/Illinois as a selector, and was a labor liaison for the United Way, and attended Kenova United Methodist Church. Funeral services will be conducted 12:00 noon Thursday, April 6, 2017, at Chapman's Mortuary, with Pastor Kyle Burchett officiating. Burial will follow in Woodmere Memorial Park. She was born May 27, 1923, in Huntington, a daughter of the late Charles G. and Lena Faye Bowen Barbour. Two sisters and two brothers also preceded her in death. Survivors include one daughter, Kelly C. Robinson of Kenova, WV; two grandsons, Earl "Butchie" Smith Robinson, III of NC, and Michael Patrick Robinson (Katy O'Neal) of Kenova; one sister, Barbara Schmader of GA; one brother, Charlie Barbour of Huntington; one great-granddaughter, Cheyenne Robinson.
