Obituary



John David Dixon, 69, of Proctorville, OH, died Thursday, April 13, 2017, in St. Mary's Medical Center. He was born January 26, 1948, in Huntington, a son of the late John Landon and Ruby Jane Rose Dixon. He was a 1966 graduate of Huntington East High School, and a member of the Beulah Baptist Church of Proctorville. He retired from the US Army Corps of Engineers as a Hydraulic Technician, and after retirement he drove the customer shuttle for Moses Auto Mall. Survivors include his wife, Sally Watson Dixon; one daughter and son-in-law, Rebecca and Michael Ross of Proctorville; one son and daughter-in-law Kristopher and Gina Dixon of Greensburg, PA; and two grandchildren, Ryan Matthew Dixon and Ella Marie Dixon. Funeral services will be conducted 12:00 pm Tuesday, April 18, 2017, at Chapman's Mortuary, with Pastor Rob Jones officiating. Burial will be in Ridgelawn Memorial Park.
