John David Dixon, 69, of Proctorville, OH, died Thursday, April 13, 2017, in St. Mary's Medical Center. He was born January 26, 1948, in Huntington, a son of the late John Landon and Ruby Jane Rose Dixon. He was a 1966 graduate of Huntington East High School, and a member of the Beulah Baptist Church of Proctorville. He retired from the US Army Corps of Engineers as a Hydraulic Technician, and after retirement he drove the customer shuttle for Moses Auto Mall. Survivors include his wife, Sally Watson Dixon; one daughter and son-in-law, Rebecca and Michael Ross of Proctorville; one son and daughter-in-law Kristopher and Gina Dixon of Greensburg, PA; and two grandchildren, Ryan Matthew Dixon and Ella Marie Dixon. Funeral services will be conducted 12:00 pm Tuesday, April 18, 2017, at Chapman's Mortuary, with Pastor Rob Jones officiating. Burial will be in Ridgelawn Memorial Park. Friends may call one hour prior to service time Tuesday at the funeral home.
