Obituary



Truman McClellan, 69 of Wayne, WV went to be with the Lord on April 20, 2017 at Emogene Dolin Jones Hospice House. A special thank you to all the staff for their support and superb care for our loved one. He served in the Army 101st Airborne, where he received a purple heart for his service in Vietnam. He later went on to become a carpet installer. He was a member of Brush Creek Baptist Church. He was born on May 14, 1947, a son of the late Larkins and Bertha McClellan of Genoa, WV, also proceeding him in death is a sister, Francis McClellan Fitzsimmons of Wayne, WV. He survived by his wife Pamela Maynard McClellan of Wayne WV, a daughter Daisy Maynard (Jason Doby) of Parkersburg, WV.; three sisters, Blanche (Tom) Sanders of Lavalette WV, Audrey Mays of Grove City OH, Eva Craft of Florence SC. two brothers, Joe (Kathy) McClellan of Lockbourne OH, Larry (Darlene) McClellan of Wayne WV. Nephews include Jeff Sanders of Kenova WV, Josh Fitzsimmons of Charlotte NC, Jerry and Joey McClellan both of OH, Charles Frazier of IL and Zachery McClellan of Huntington WV. Nieces include Teresa Willis and Paula Williamson both of OH, Roberta Guerrera of SC and Cristen McClellan of Wayne WV and several great nieces and nephews. Two very special friends Lionel Paul Blankenship and Kimberley Brooks Queen both of Wayne WV. A special thank you to brother Roger Maynard, brother Chris Brooks, brother Kenny Blevins and John (Cod) Boyes for being there in his last hours. He will also be greatly missed by many more. Graveside services will be conducted 3:00 pm Saturday, April 29, 2017, at McClellan Family Cemetery, 3614 Big Lynn Creek Road, Genoa, WV 25517. Military graveside rites will be conducted by American Legion Post 93, Kenova.
