Obituary



Chester Thomas Nutter, 80, of Huntington, widower of Alma Nutter, passed away Thursday, April 13, 2017 in St. Mary's Medical Center. He was born December 1, 1936. In Cabell County, WV, a son of the late Chester Bud and Martha Louise Bledsoe Nutter. Five siblings, one great-grandson, and one great-great grandson also preceded him in death. He was a US Navy Veteran, and retired from the maintenance department at Owens-Illinois. Survivors include six children, Chester Thomas Nutter, Jr, and wife Lisa of Proctorville, OH, Virginia Louise Webb, Patricia A. Sorrell, Martha Nutter, Robert C. Nutter and wife Nancy Jo all of Huntington, Roberta S. Triplett and husband Bobby of Ironton, OH; seven grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren and several siblings. Funeral services will be conducted 2:00 pm Wednesday, April 19, 2017, at Chapman's Mortuary, with Pastor James Kearns officiating. Burial will be in Forest Lawn.
