Obituary



Emma Jean Mills, 77 of Huntington, went to be with her Lord and Savior, Sunday, April 9, 2017 from her residence. Funeral services will be conducted 2:00 pm Wednesday, April 12, 2017 at Chapman's Mortuary with Pastor Larry A. Greene officiating. Burial will be in Maple Hill Cemetery, Kenova. Emma was born October 26, 1939 in Huntington a daughter of the late John and Rosa Lee McClaskey Blake. Five sisters and three brothers also preceded her in death. She was retired from the Department of Human Services as a social worker. Emma was a member of River Cities Community Church. Survivors include her husband, Roger L. Mills of Huntington; a son and daughter-in-law, John and Rena Blake of Huntington; two grandchildren, Michelle Slone of Huntington, and Eric Blake and his wife, Kristin Blake of Huntington; a brother, Edgar "Pete" Blake of Huntington; and two great grandsons, that were her life, Devin Slone and Ethan Blake. Friends may visit with family 6:00-8:00 pm Tuesday at Chapman's Mortuary.
