Obituary



Linda Lou Blake (Glover), 54, of Lavalette, WV, widow of Dexter Glover, passed away Sunday, August 27 at her residence. Funeral services will be conducted at Noon Thursday, August 31, at Chapman's Mortuary with Pastor James Short officiating. Burial will be in White Chapel Memorial Gardens, Barboursville. She was born July 9, 1963 in Cabell County, a daughter of Alva Blake of Barboursville, and the late Betty Lou Chapman. One sister-in-law Debbie Johnson, and one brother, Ricky Blake also preceded her in death. She was an avid NASCAR fan, worked as a custodian for the Wayne County Board of Education, and was Pentecostal by faith. Survivors include one daughter and son-in-law, Brandi and Dwayne Johnson of Huntington; two sons, Shane Blake and Brandon Blake both of Wayne County WV; a step-daughter, Amy Glover and a step-son, Todd Glover; two sisters, Vickie and Kevin Adkins of Wayne County, and Janet and Greg Ferguson of Huntington; three brothers, George Blake of Chesapeake, OH, Mark Bias of Poca, WV, and Johnny and Vicky Blake of Leon, WV; step-mother Ruth Blake; seven grandchildren, Haven, Jocelyn, Connor, Hunter, Camron, Cole and Chase; three step-grandchildren, Jackson, Tyler and Alex, and a baby girl on the way. She also leaves behind many nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 pm Wednesday, August 30 at Chapman's Mortuary.
