Obituary


Betty Jean Brumfield, 87, of Huntington, widow of Morris L. Brumfield, died Tuesday, August 8, 2017 at Cabell Huntington Hospital. She was born September 28, 1929 in Clarksburg, WV, a daughter of the late Charles Vanderbilt and Bertha Jarvis Tate. A son, Jack Richard Brumfield also preceded her in death. She retired from Columbia Gas and worked after retirement at the Cabell County Court House. Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, Mark Tate and Annette Brumfield of Huntington; a grandson, Mark Patrick Brumfield of Huntington; and a great grandson, Tate Brumfield. Graveside service will be conducted 2:00 pm , Monday, August 14, 2017 at the Ridgelawn Abbey of Devotion with Pastor Bill DeMoss officiating. Burial will follow in Ridgelawn Memorial Park. Friends may visit after 1:30 Monday at the cemetery.
