Helen Rhea Fairchild, 83, of Huntington, WV died Monday, August, 14, 2017, in St. Mary's Medical Center. Funeral service will be conducted 2:00 PM Friday, August 18, 2017, at Chapman's Mortuary, Huntington, with Pastor Jerrry Matt officiating. Burial will be in Woodmere Memorial Park. Helen was born October 23, 1933 in Prestonsburg, KY, a daughter of the late Grady and Oma Ray Spradlin. She retired from K-Mart, was a member of the O.E.S and was former treasurer for the C.C.C.S.O. Her husband, Paul R. Fairchild and her son, Richard Joseph Fairchild, also preceded her in death. Survivors include two daughters, Lana and Teresa Fairchild and one son, Lindsey "Grady" Fairchild, all of Huntington, one sister, Jennette (Jim) Craycraft of Sarasota, FL, two brothers, Michael Dean (Linda) Spradlin of Prestonsburg, KY and James Earl (Billie Jo) Spradlin of Lavalette, WV. Visitation will be from 1:00 until 2:00 PM Friday at the funeral home.
