Obituary



Betty Ann Turley Steed, 76, of Parkersburg, WV, formerly of Milton, WV, passed away Friday, August 18. 2017, at her residence. She was born December 10, 1940 in Kincaid, WV a daughter of the late Howard Clifton and Carrie Ellen Foster Turley. Two sisters, Dorothy Braneovich and Wanda Woodrum Davisworth and a brother, Robert Turley, also preceded her in death. She worked at the former First Huntington National Bank and retired from Sam's Club. Survivors include: her husband, Jim Steed; a son and daughter-in-law, David and Kayly Brobston of Defiance, OH; two grandchildren, Conor Brobston and Nicole Brobston; two step children, Frank Steed and Theresa Steed, both of Parkersburg; three sisters, Loretta Williams and her husband, Bob of Lesage, WV and Barbara Effingham and Lois Turley Jeffrey, both of Huntington; three brothers and sisters-in-law, Dewey and Carol Turley of Atlanta, GA, Gary and Judi Turley of Madison, WV, and Curt and Peggy Turley of Columbus, OH; several nieces and nephews; and a special longtime friend, Lou Jarrell of Milton. Funeral services will be conducted at noon Monday, August 21, 2017, at Chapman's Mortuary, Huntington, with her son, David Brobston officiating. Burial will be in Culloden Cemetery.
